Description

The Sensor Trainer Kit is a comprehensive training kit with all of the necessary sensors, sources, electronic instrumentation, jigs, and displays, all in a modular form. 2mm brass terminations and patch cords are used in the experiments. The trainer is housed in a beautiful and durable plastic cabinet and comprises of replicated specific circuits / blocks with required test points. The following sensors are covered:

RTD Sensor: -

  • The MAX31865 is an easy-to-use thermistor to digital output converter optimized for platinum resistance temperature detectors (RTD).
  • The external resistor sets the RTD sensitivity, and the high-precision Δ- ΣADC converts the RTD resistor and the reference resistor to digital output.
  • The MAX31865 input has an overvoltage protection of up to ± 45V, providing configurable RTD and cable open, short circuit condition detection.
  • Note: MAX31865 RTD Platinum Resistance Temperature Detector PT100 to PT1000

LM35 Temperature Sensor:-

The LM35 series are precision integrated-circuit temperature sensors, whose output voltage is linearly proportional to the Celsius (Centigrade) temperature. The LM35 thus has an advantage over linear temperature sensors calibrated in ° Kelvin, as the user is not required to subtract a large constant voltage from its output to obtain convenient Centigrade scaling. The LM35 does not require any external calibration or trimming to provide typical accuracies of ±1/4 °C at room temperature and ±3/4°C over a full -55 to +150°C temperature range. Low cost is assured by trimming and calibration at the wafer level. The LM35's low output impedance, linear output, and precise inherent calibration make interfacing to readout or control circuitry especially easy. It can be used with single power supplies, or with plus and minus supplies. As it draws only 60 mA from its supply, it has very low self-heating, less than 0.1°C in still air.

Air humidity and Temperature Sensor (DHT11 Sensor): -

This module integrates DHT11 sensor and other required components on a small PCB. The DHT11 sensor includes a resistive-type humidity measurement component, an NTC temperature measurement component and a high-performance 8-bit microcontroller inside, and provides calibrated digital signal output.It has high reliability and excellent long-term stability, thanks to the exclusive digital signal acquisition technique and temperature & humidity sensing technology.

Gas Sensor (Smoke Sensor – MQ2): -

The analog gas sensor - MQ2 is used in gas leakage detecting equipment’s in consumer and industry markets, this sensor is suitable for detecting LPG, i-butane, Propane, Methane , Alcohol, Hydrogen and Smoke. It has a high sensitivity and fast response time and the sensitivity can be adjusted using the potentiometer.
